My career started working for a local realtor in the early '90s in the housing rehab business in South Florida after Hurricane Andrew destroyed much of the area we called "down south" or more formally named Homestead. In the late 90's I had the distinct privilege of working with a genius of a man who owned a small full service real estate development firm. Under his tutelage, I gained a unique understanding of the nuances, intricacies and hard facts regarding running a real estate, investment, develoment and management business. Our customers were primarily the community, non-profits and local government.
